Six Nations and Walton Build on Strategic Partnership

New Agreement Strengthens Existing Relationship, Brings New Opportunities


OHSWEKEN, ON (November 5, 2014) – The Six Nations of the Grand River (Six Nations) and the Walton Group of Companies (Walton), a family-owned real estate investment and development group in Ontario, with headquarters in Calgary, Alberta, announced today a new agreement that will further solidify their partnership in the County of Brant. The Umbrella Agreement, adopted by the Six Nations Elected Council, will allow Six Nations and Walton to share resources and work together to realize regional and economic opportunities.

The Umbrella Agreement establishes a framework for cooperation, collaboration and investment on future joint interest projects. It officially identifies the ongoing relationship between both parties and the desire to commit to a long-standing partnership for years to come. As specific opportunities are identified and accepted for joint participation, Six Nations and Walton will work together to solve local infrastructure issues through community improvement efforts and bring economic opportunity to the area.
